Show your places on a world map

Ask for a world map of your places, with matching countries highlighted and a list you can tap for details. For example: “Show France and Japan on a world map, with my travel notes beside it and a legend.”

The world overview includes country outlines with the app. It can show your saved places as markers, shade countries by a score, or let you choose a country to read more. A place list gives you another way to choose results on a phone.

The outlines use Natural Earth world data. They are simplified for a world view, so small islands may be represented by a place marker. Ask for a street map, directions or address search separately when you need that level of detail.

For developers, the maps reference includes the SVG recipe and the platform geometry module.
