Make vibes in Claude and ChatGPT

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Vibes DIY once, then make a new app, change one you have, and work with its data from the chat you already use.

What you can build

Anything you can build on vibes.diy, from the conversation you are already having. Ask Claude or ChatGPT to make a vibe, and it writes the app, creates it on your account and pushes it; ask it to change one, and it updates the draft; ask it what's in an app, and it reads the records. Your vibes stay ordinary vibes: they open at their own link, anyone you share them with can use them, and you can keep building them on vibes.diy or from the CLI.

How it connects

The hosted Vibes DIY connector, at https://mcp.vibes.diy/mcp. You add it once to Claude (from its Connectors Directory listing, or as a custom connector) or to ChatGPT (as a connection in developer mode), and sign in with your Vibes DIY account. From then on every call runs as you: the connector can do what your account can do by hand, and nothing more. Setup steps for each assistant and a copyable setup prompt are on Connect Claude or ChatGPT.

What it can read and do

Your assistant can read Your assistant can do
Your list of apps, each app's databases, and what an app keeps — document ids and field names Create a new app from source it writes, push a new draft of an app, publish a draft to the live link
Any document by id, and queries by field, key, prefix or range Put and delete documents, confirming before a delete

Wherever your assistant needs to know which app you mean, paste the app's link straight from your browser.

Starter prompts

Paste one into Claude or ChatGPT once the connector is on:

  • Make a vibe for my running club with a schedule of this month's runs and an RSVP button on each one.
  • Make a vibe that keeps my reading log and sends me a digest of the books I finished every Sunday.
  • Make a vibe for our family's chores where each kid keeps a weekly streak and gets a gold star for every finished job.

Good to know

  • A new app is live the moment it is created. Its first version goes straight to the live link. After that, pushes build a draft, and publishing replaces what visitors see, so your assistant asks before it publishes.
  • A new app starts open, readable and joinable from the moment it is created. For a private one, ask for access rules in the app, or deploy it with npx vibes-diy push --private from the CLI.
  • Prefer your terminal? npx vibes-diy mcp runs the same kind of server locally on the device you signed in on, for Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP agent.
